MNA Entertainment Desk: Prominent actor Siraj Haydar passed away at his Kalyanpur residence in capital Dhaka on Thursday morning at the age of 71.
Siraj’s son Lelin Haydar said his father felt chest pain at night. He had died around 6:14am before taken to hospital.
The actor left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter, a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Siraj’s body will be taken to Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) where his first namaz-e-janaza will be held after Asr prayer.
Siraj Haydar started his acting career on 14 August 1962 through a novel named Tipu Sultan. He made his film debut with the film Sukher Songsar. Throughout his 55 years long career, he frequently appeared in numerous television dramas, radio, and film.
The popular actor was born on February 6, 1948 in Bikrampur of Munshiganj district.
