Asian Volleyball: BD to play Turkmenistan in final

MNA Sports Desk: Defending champions Bangladesh reached the final of the six-nation Bangabandhu Asian Senior Men’s Central Zone International Volleyball Championship eliminating Kyrgyzstan by 3-2 sets in the keenly contested 2nd semifinal at the Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium here on Wednesday.

Hosts Bangladesh made a frustrating start in the match losing the first set to Kyrgyzstan by 15-25 points, but they leveled the margin defeating their opponent by 25-20 points while Bangladesh took lead for the first time beating their rivals by 25-19 points in the third set.

However, Kyrgyzstan neutralised the margin beating the hosts by 13-25 points in the 4th set but Bangladesh snatched the victory beating their opponent by 15-13 points in the final set.

Bangladesh Television and Gazi TV will telecast the final live, reported news agency.
