MNA National Desk: Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) will start selling tickets for Eid special bus service from Tuesday for home-bound people ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
This year, around 904 special buses will be pressed into service while 54 more to be placed on standby for different routes in the capital.
The decision was taken at a meeting between BRTC officers and depot managers at the BRTC office in city’s Motijheel area on Monday.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader was also present in the meeting.
Quader said that BRTC buses for factory workers bound for North Bengal will leave the depots from the Dhaka metropolitan area, Gazipur and Narayanganj two days ahead of Eid.
