Explosives recovered from Savar militant den

MNA National Desk: Police recovered huge quantity of illegal bombs and bomb-manufacturing materials, jihadi books from a suspected militant den in Namagenda area of Savar.

Security forces have resumed their operation at the militant hideout from this morning.

Earlier on Friday, Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) surrounded a five-storey building in Genda around 7:30pm and raided a flat, but it emerged that the terror suspects had left it in the morning.

Later, the CTTC members detained a woman and rescued two children from the ground floor of the house.

Police used loudspeakers requesting neighbours to maintain a safe distance and asking them not to panic. The media persons have not been allowed within the 100-yard radius of the building.
