MNA Culture Desk: Renowned sculptor Ferdousi Priyabhashini died undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon. She was 71.
Priyabhashini, who was also a freedom fighter, was admitted to Lab Aid Hospital on 8 November 2017, as she was suffering from multiple complications including diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure.
She was rushed to the hospital after falling over in her Gulshan residence and went into a shock on 8 November afternoon.
Later, she was being kept under treatment at coronary care unit (CCU) of the hospital.
Ferdousi Priyabhashini, who was persecuted by Pakistani occupation army and its local collaborators during the War of Liberation in 1971, obtained the freedom fighter status on 11 August 2016.
