MNA National Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed police to be helpful to people, by extending service and support, reported news agenyc.
“People come to police when they face difficulties. Therefore, police must give importance to human rights and rule of law while performing their duties. They have to be attentive towards women, children and elderly people in society,” she said.
The Prime Minister was addressing the passing-out parade of the 35th BCS batch of assistant superintendents of police (ASPs) at the Bangladesh Police Academy here. The Prime Minister took salute and inspected the parade.
She asked the police to gain the trust of people through providing service and humane attitude. ‘And this is urgently needed.’
Earlier on her arrival at the Sarda Police Academy, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary and Principal of the academy Additional Inspector General Md Nazibur Rahman received her.
