‘Int’l Day of Art of Giving’ at DIU

MNA Education Desk: Daffodil Institute of Social Science (DISS) observed ‘International Day of Art of Giving-2018’ at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University (DIU) in the capital on May 17, 2018 based on the theme “feed with Love”.

To mark the day, DISS distributed food packets among more than one thousand underprivileged, destitute children and their family at three spots of Daffodil premises at Dhanmondi, Ashulia and Chandpur campuses.

On this occasion, Dr Md Sabur Khan, chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, Professor Dr Yousuf M Islam, vice-chancellor of DIU, Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO of Daffodil Family, Syed Mizanur Rahman, director (students affaires) of DIU, Mahmudul Hasan, principal of Daffodil International School, distributed food packets among the underprivileged children and their family  at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University.

Art of Giving (AOG), a philosophy of life to spread peace and happiness among the people in the society, was founded on 17 May 2013 by Prof Achyuta Samanta- an educationist, social activist, social reformer and founder of KIIT and KISS.

This year Daffodil Institute of Social Science (DISS) celebrated its 5th anniversary in Bangladesh. Students and Professors of DIU who are staying in 8 different countries also put their hands together and spread the message globally to share foods with happiness.
