fellow student(JnU Correspondent) MNA National Desk: Several buses were vandalized by the students of Jagannath University (JnU) on Wednesday in front of its campus for beating a fellow student of them.

The student was beaten by a bus helper over payment of half fare, a benefit the students can avail.

Witnesses said that a group of students in the morning suddenly took position to the streets adjacent to Bahadur Shah Park and vandalized more than four buses of the Bihongo transport.

Earlier on Tuesday night, JnU 9th batch student Mehadi Hasan locked in an altercation with the helper of Bihongo transport at Bangshal on his way to the campus from Mirpur over half fare.

The bus helper, at one stage of their argument, severely beat up Mehadi leaving him injured on the spot.

JnU Proctor Dr. Noor Mohammad said that he had already heard the matter but none came to him with written complaint, adding that JnU authorities would sit with the owners of the transports on Thursday (today) to avoid such kind of incidents in future.
