Khaleda Zia charged in three cases

MNA National Desk: A Dhaka court accepted charge sheets against 84 leaders and activists of BNP, including its chairperson Khaleda Zia, in three cases filed under the Special Powers Act with Darus Salam police station, news agency reported.

Senior judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate court M Kamrul Hossain Mollah took into cognizance the charges against the former prime miniser in the three cases.

The court also issued arrest warrants against 72 BNP leaders and activists, including BNP leader Amanullah Aman, Maruf Kamal Khan, Sultan Salahuddin Tuku and Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel.

The court ordered the officer-in-charge of Darus Salam police station to submit a report about the arrest warrants on 18 October.
