Khaleda’s cases shifted to Bakshibazar court

MNA National Desk: The Law Ministry on Monday shifted 16 cases filed against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to the makeshift court at Bakshibazar in the city.

The ministry issued three gazette notifications in this regard, reported news agency. Law Minster Anisul Haque said the cases against Khaleda Zia were shifted to a single court for security concern, not for any political reason.

Before talking to reporters, the minister held a meeting with the speaker of London Tower Hamlet Sabina Akthar when he sought the repatriation of the convicted killers of intellectuals during the 1971 Liberation War.

Anisul Haque hoped that the United Kingdom will return convicted war criminals Chowdhury Moinuddin and Ashrafuzzaman.
