MNA Education Desk (JnU Correspondent): The inaugural ceremony of Land Law and Management (LLM) Department of Jagannath University (JnU) and freshers’ reception of its first batch were held on the campus on Sunday.
Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha inaugurated the dept as Chief Guest at the central auditorium of the university at 11:00am.
He said that land law is one of the main pillars among the law related facts. However, many advocates are not aware of the land law, which is most important for the people of the country, adding that labours and farmers are being deprived of the rule of the real law which is why the implement of the rule of the real law has become essential nowadays.
JnU Vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Mijanur Rahman, Treasurer Prof Md Salim Bhuiyan and Law Faculty Dean Prof Dr Sarkar Ali Akkas, among others, attended the function as Special Guests with LLM dept Chairperson Kristin Richardson in the chair.
