MNA National Desk: A memorial book on Bangabandhu marking the 100th birthday of father of the nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was unveiled on Sep 28 at Tungipara of Gopalganj district in a program celebrating Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 73rd birthday. The book was distributed among the writers and poets who contributed in this book today from a ceremony at Shishu Academy.
The book was titled as ‘Jatir Pita Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman – Shototomo Jonmo Sharok Grontho’. The handover session of this memorial book was a part of Shishu Academi’s week-long program marking World Children’s Day and Children’s Rights Week, 2019.
The book was published jointly by Kishore Bangla and Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela.
The memorial book was handed over to the writers and poets by the editor and publisher of the book, editor of Kishore Bangla and chief patron of Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela Mir Mosharref Hossain. President of BSK Mela Meah Monsaf presided over the ceremony.
Among the distinguished writers and poets former chairman of Shishu Academy and famed author Selina Hossain, poet Amirul Islam, poet Aslam Sunny, Alam Talukder, author Ali Imam, Faruk Hossain, Khalek Bin Joyenuddin, Sharif Khan, Nishat Sultana, Mrittunjoy Roy and many others were present.
Chairman of Shishu Academy Lucky Inam and director Anjeer Liton was also present during the handover ceremony of the book.
Director of Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela Mohiuddin Manu, executive editor of Kishore Bangla Ahmed Riaz, managing editor Nuronnabi Sarker Tushar, associate editor Kaushik Ahmed and art editor Mamun Hossain was also present at the ceremony.
Along with the writers and poets, the book was also distributed among the present children. The ceremony was followed by an enchanting cultural program by the members of Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela.
