Narsingdi raid: 2 female ‘militants’ surrender

MNA National Desk: Two suspected female militants have surrendered to the law enforcement agencies after a 40-hour standoff in Narsingdi, reported news agency.

The two women, amid tight security, were taken to a vehicle from the second militant hideout at Madhabdi municipality on Wednesday afternoon.

The female suspects have been identified as Khadija Akter Meghna and Mou.

Police cordoned off two militant hideouts – a five-storey building and another seven-storey building – on Tuesday night. Law enforcement agencies raided the five-storey last night and recovered the bodies of a man and a woman along with firearms.
