MNA Education Desk: Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) celebrated Halloween for the first time ever on October 30, 2017, said a press release.
Halloween is an occasion celebrated worldwide but not very popular in Bangladesh. NDUB drama and film club had taken this initiative and celebrated Halloween.
Honorable Vice Chancellor Fr Patrick Gaffney C.S.C was present at the program as chief guest. Fanny Delgutte, a French lady, friend of Ranet Gomes, the moderator of NDUB Drama Club, attended program as a special guest. About 220 campaigners attended the program.
It was a new experience for the students’ as they were not much familiarized with the concept of Halloween. The Vice Chancellor explained the concept to the students in a dramatic manner which made the program more interesting.
Mademoiselle Delgutte shared her experience of Halloween as in her homeland Halloween is not much celebrated but she was amazed by the fact how this concept was adapted by the Bangladeshi students.
The students of NDUB should their new talent of cosplaiyng for the cosplay contest organized by NDUB Drama club. From zombies to mummies, vampires to nun from “Conjuring” many variation of cosplaying was visible.
However Joker and Harley Quine characters were still popular among the students. The program ended with prize giving ceremony of the six best cosplayers and a flash mob in the tunes of iconic song “Thriller”. The NDUB Drama club was established on February 6, 2016.
