MNA National Desk: Prime Minister’s Media Adviser and Editor of the Daily Observer Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury on Friday urged the new generation to prepare themselves through the light of education and knowledge for building the future Bangladesh.
“The new generation has become the proud citizen of an independent country as Bangladesh achieved independence after a nine-month-long bloody struggle,” said Chowdhury, also the chief adviser of Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore (BSK) Mela.
He said this while addressing a prize giving ceremony and discussion organized by Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela Manikganj Branch at local Bijoy Mela ground. Later, he distributed books and saplings among the award recipients.
Mir Mosarraf Hossain Pakbir, chief patron of Bangabandhu Shishu-Kishore Mela national committee, also the Chairman of Mohammadi Group of Companies Ltd. and director of the Daily Observer said that if we want to build a drug-free and terrorism free developed country by 2041, the children should do three things. First of all, they have to study regularly for their proper mental growth. Secondly, they must have to respect their parents and teachers. And finally, have to prepare themselves as a real patriot with the spirit of our liberation war.
Among others, Mela’s central president Miah Mansaf, general secretary Mohammad Yasin Mollah, police super Mahfuzur Rahman and local government deputy-director Abdul Matin were present.
However, the leaders and workers of BSK Mela and other affiliate organizations along with district Awami League is scrupulously working to make the events and the visit a total success.
