Polls-time govt likely in Oct

MNA National Desk: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has hinted that the polls-time government is likely to be formed in October, reported news agency.

“The polls-time government will take the responsibility just after the announcement of election schedule. It does not mean that a new government will be formed,” he said adding, “The incumbent will act as the polls-time government. But it will short in size,” he said.

The minister was talking to journalists after a post-eid review at his secretariat office on Wednesday.

Discarding possibility to hold any one-sided election in the country, the Awami League General Secretary said many parties will join the upcoming election. “Why question will be raised if BNP does not participate in the election?”
