Govt to preserve 20000 graves of freedom fighters

MNA Editorial Desk: The government will preserve graves of all the martyred and general freedom fighters in view of their great sacrifices during the War of Liberation in 1971.

“In the first phase, the government has taken a project involving Taka 348 crore to preserve 20,000 graves of the martyred and general freedom fighters to pay due respect to the worthy sons of the sacred soil,” Md. Mominur Rahman, assistant chief of Liberation War Ministry said.

20,000 more graves will also preserve in the second phase after the proper completion of first phase.

A Development Project Proforma (DPP) has already been sent to the Planning Commission for its approval, Mominur Rahman said.
