Prime Minister arrives in Cambodia


MNA National Desk: Cambodia on Sunday rolled out a red carpet as Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Phnom Penh this afternoon on a three-day official visit to Cambodia.

She was met there by Cambodian Women’s Affairs Minister Ingkantha Phavi, Cambodian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation EAT Sophea, Bangladesh Ambassador to Cambodia Saida Muna Tasnim and Cambodian Residential Ambassador in Bangladesh Pichkhun Panha.

A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the prime minister and her entourage members landed at Phnom Penh International Airport at 12:30 local time.

This is the second time in three-and-a-half years that Hasina will be travelling to the country at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.

The prime minister is set to meet with her counterpart for bilateral talks. She will also meet with King Norodom Sihamoni.

The prime minister will return to Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon.
