Quota protesters to hold procession Sunday

MNA National Desk: Quota protesters will hold protest procession on Sunday protesting attack on the protestors and demanding to publish a gazette based on the Prime Minister’s assurance of abolishing the existing quota system.

General Students’ Rights Protection Council convener Hasan Al Mamun announced this at a press briefing held at Dhaka University’s central public library on Saturday.

They will hold the programme from 11am-1pm at all colleges and universities across the country.

However, the quota reform protest turned into a violent movement after April 8. Following the movement, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on April 11 announced at the National Parliament that there will be no quota system in government jobs anymore.
