Earlier in the first match of the day, Bangladesh Cricket Board fined Dhaka Dynamites skipper Shakib Al Hasan 50 per cent of his match fee for verbally abusing umpire Ranmore Martinesz during the game against Comilla Victorians.
Shakib lost his cool when Martinesz turned down an LBW appeal against Victorians batsman Imrul Kayes.
Kayes’ team-mate Hassan Ali, who was the man-of-the-match for his five-wicket haul, was also fined 30 per cent of his match fee. The umpires were not impressed by the gesture he made, showing Mosaddek Hossain the way to the dressing room, after dislodging the batsman’s wickets.
