Rangpur Medical’s intern doctors went on strike

MNA National Desk: Intern doctors at Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) went on an unspecified strike from Tuesday after a clash between two groups of intern doctors.
Two groups of intern doctors led by between Mahfuzul Haque Raqib and Farhan made a conflict on December 12 to establish their authority, said police.
Mahfuzul Haque Raqib, president of the Interns Doctors’ Association (RMC unit), along with five others was severely wounded.
RMCH director Abu Saleh Mohammad Borkutualh said he held a meeting with the intern doctors and would continue talking with them to minimize the crisis in the hospital.
However, the Inter Doctors’ Association went on strike demanding arrest of the attackers. They demanded immediate arrest of the miscreants, set up a permanent police post inside the campus and ensure security for the interns, patients and their relatives.
Police have already arrested a man in this connection. But tense situation has been prevailing on the campus.
