Sri Lanka win toss, choose to bat first

MNA Sports Desk: Sri Lanka captain Upul Tharanga won the toss and elected to bat first in the second one-day international against Bangladesh at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Tuesday.

Sri Lanka made three changes to their team while Bangladesh remain unchanged.  Bangladesh took the lead 1-0 in the series against the host Sri Lanka with a 90-run victory where Tamim Iqbal’s 127 played a major role to ensure the first ODI win.

Bangladesh squad

Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mosaddek Hossain, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (captain), Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed.

Sri Lanka squad

Danushka Gunathilaka, Upul Tharanga (captain), Kusal Mendis, Dinesh Chandimal, Asela Gunaratne, Milinda Siriwardana, Dhananjaya de Silva/Sachith Pathirana, Thisara Perera, Nuwan Pradeep, Nuwan Kulasekara and Lakshan Sandakan.
