Stop use of hydraulic horns: HC

MNA National Desk: The High Court (HC) on Wednesday asked the government to stop the use of hydraulic horns within 24 hours in Dhaka city to prevent sound pollution.

The HC bench of Justice Kazi Rezaul Haque and Justice Mohammad Ullah passed the order in response to a petition filed by a Supreme Court lawyer.

The court also asked the government to confiscate the instruments in the market used for hydraulic horn in the next seven days and asked the authorities to seize the vehicles after 27 August if they use hydraulic horns defying the order.

The bench also asked the government to file the progress report in two weeks.
