Actor Siraj Haydar passes away

MNA Entertainment Desk: Prominent actor Siraj Haydar passed away at his Kalyanpur residence in capital Dhaka on Thursday morning at the age of 71. Siraj’s son Lelin Haydar said his father felt chest pain at night. He had died around 6:14am before taken to hospital. The actor left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter, a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death. Siraj’s body will be taken to Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) where his first namaz-e-janaza will be held after Asr prayer. MNA Culture & Entertainment Desk: A total of 12 organizations including Bangladesh Film Directors’ Association on Saturday have declared to boycott popular Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan for indefinite period for his “derogatory remarks” on directors and actors. Secretary General of the BFDA, Badiul Alam Khokon, made the announcement during a press briefing at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in the capital on Saturday afternoon.
