‘Padmavati’ cleared by British censors

MNA Culture & Entertainment Desk: Even though the makers of “Padmavati” have deferred the release of the film in India, the British Board Of Film Classification (BBFC) has cleared it. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial will hit the screens in the UK on 1 December. Starring Ranveer Singh (as Sultan Alauddin Khilji), Deepika Padukone (as Rani Padmavati, in the lead) and Shahid Kapoor (as Maharawal Ratan Singh), “Padmavati” is being distributed internationally by Paramount Pictures.
