MNA Business Desk: The cabinet approved the national budget of around Tk 4.64 trillion for the fiscal year 2018-19 on Thursday afternoon, reported news agency. Prime minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the special meeting of the cabinet held at the parliament complex. Finance Minister AMA Muhith placing the national budget for the 2018-19 fiscal in parliament with all the indicators pointing to another expansionary budget in keeping with the AL government’s previous budgets. Govt approves 22 public holidays for 2018

MNA National Desk: The cabinet on Monday approved 22 public holidays for the year 2018. The approval was given in the weekly meeting of the cabinet held at Prime Minister’s office with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair. Messaging app ‘Alapon’ for public servants

MNA Technology Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday launched a secure communications messaging app ‘Alapon’ for the public servants which will facilitate messaging and folder sharing. The mobile app is developed by the government’s ICT Division. The prime minister launched it before the weekly Cabinet meeting. Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam told reporters that through this app the government officials will be able to converse with each other, much like Viber.
