MNA Culture Desk: The Amar Ekushey Book Fair witnessed a huge crowd on Wednesday, the Language Martyrs’ Day and the International Mother Language Day. People were seen thronging the fair from the morning after it opened today at 8am. The book fair which usually runs from3 pm to 8:30 pmevery day except for holidays opened in the morning today marking Amar Ekushey. With the rolling of time, the crowd turned bigger. MNA Editorial Desk: The much-awaited month-long book fair “Amar Ekushey Granthamela” begins on the Bangla Academy premises and extending into the Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka. Prime minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair and a four-day international literature conference which was attended by prominent litterateurs from Austria, Germany, Puerto Rico, Malaysia, Russia, China and India. The fair will remain open for 30 more minutes daily than the previous years. MNA Culture & Entertainment Desk: The government has wanted nomination proposals for Ekushey Padak 2017 from all ministries, public university authorities, institutions and the recipients of Swadhinata Padak and Ekushey Padak.
