MNA National Desk: President Abdul Hamid has rejected a mercy plea applied by Harkat-ul-Jihad (Huji) chief Mufti Abdul Hannan, who was condemned to death in a case filed over the grenade attack on ex-British envoy Anwar Choudhury in 2004. “The honourable president rejected Mufti Hannan’s pleas for presidential clemency. MNA Education Desk: The 50th convocation of Dhaka University (DU) was held at the central playground on campus on Saturday with more than 17,000 graduate and postgraduate students taking part.
