MNA Exclusive Desk: An audio clip of the telephone conversation of BNP leader Tarique Rahman had with Dhaka University teacher Mamun Ahmed about the agitation for quota reforms has gone viral on the social media, reported news agency. Prof Mamun has acknowledged having the conversation with the London-based acting chairperson of the BNP on Tuesday. Charges framed against Tarique


MNA National Desk: A court on Monday framed charges against BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman and former chairman of Ekushey TV Abdus Salam and its two other senior journalists in a sedition case. Dhaka metropolitan sessions court judge Mohammad Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order. The court also fixed 15 January for hearing the witnesses of the case. The two other accused are Ekushey TV’s chief reporter Mahathir Faruqui Khan and its special correspondent Kanak Sarwer, who are absconding. Warrant against Tarique in sedition case

MNA National Desk: A Dhaka court on Monday issued an arrest warrant for of BNP Senior Vice-chairman Tarique Rahman and two others in sedition case filed with the Tejgaon police. Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions’ Court Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah issued the warrant in the morning, reported news agency. Earlier, the case’s investigating officer police’s detective branch (DB) Inspector Emdad Hossain lodged the charge sheet to Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Megistrate’s (CMM) Court against Tarique Rahman and three others.
