Thailand’s Princess in “highest-profile” visit to Bangladesh

MNA National Desk: Thailand’s Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn has arrived in Dhaka on a four-day royal visit to Bangladesh, reported news agency.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam received her at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on her arrival on Monday.

She is leading an 11-member high profile Thai government delegation in connection with philanthropy projects she set up in Bangladesh in 2011 under her father, the late King Bhumibols’s Royal Chai Pattana Foundation, the foreign ministry said.

During her four-day visit, the princess is scheduled to call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and exchange views with Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury and Culture Minister Asaduzzaman Noor MP and other dignitaries.
