Tigers clinch victory over Australia in first test

MNA Sports Desk: Bangladesh won the first Test match against Australia in Mirpure Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium on Wednesday by 20 runs for the first time. The spinners smashed the Australian batting line up to win the Test.

Double strikes by all-rounder Shakib Al Hassan and Taijul Islam damaged visiting Australia in the morning session.

Shakib bagged two big fishes — David Warner and Steve Smith in the morning. Another spinner Taijul Islam dismissed Handscomb and Ashton Agar.

David Warner helped Australia to steady with 112 runs while Aussie captain Steve Smith was tapped lbw at his 37 runs off 99 balls.
