Champions Trophy: Tigers suffer big defeat in 2nd warm-up match

MNA Sports Desk: Bangladesh conceded a humiliating 240-run defeat against India in the ICC Champions Trophy warm-up match at Kennington Oval in London on Tuesday.

In the day’s match, chasing target of 325 runs, Bangladesh finished the innings at 84 for all in 23.5 overs where Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Sunzamul Islam and Mushfiqur Rahim could manage double-digit figures scoring 24, 18 and 13 runs respectively.

Tigers suffered a massive batting disaster losing three top-order batsmen — Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman and Imrul Kayes — within a span of 8 balls adding no more runs with their collection of 11. They were sent back to the pavilion from 11/1 in 3.2 overs to 11/3 in 4.4 overs.

 Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah Riyad and Mosaddek Hossain also failed to stay long as they were out with in a span of 6 balls for 1 run. They were departed from 21/4 in 6.3 overs to 22/6 in 7.3 overs.

Sabbir, Mahmudullah, Mosaddek and Rubel Hossain left the ground with ducks while Shakib, Kayes and Soumya poorly out for 7, 7 and 2 runs respectively.
