Two new syndicate members appointed at JnU

MNA Education Desk (JnU Correspondent): The government on Monday appointed two new syndicate members at the Jagannath University (JnU).

JnU Vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Dr MijanurRahman confirmed the matter to the Daily Observer on Tuesday.

The two new syndicate member are—Prof Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairman of Board of Trustees and Former Vice Chancellor of East West University, and Prof Dr. Harunur Rashid, Vice-chancellor of National University.

JnU VC said that according to the article 17 (1) of JnU ACT-2005, they had been appointed for the next two years, adding that the implementation of the ‘mega project’ in extending the JnU campus under the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would be easier for appointing the talented syndicate members.
