MNA National Desk: The widow of US-Bangla Airlines pilot Abid Sultan has died about a week after she was hospitalised with a stroke she had suffered on hearing about her husband’s passing in a plane crash in Kathmandu.
Doctors at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Dhaka declared Afsana Khanam dead at 9am on Friday.
Abid Sultan, who sustained injuries in the plane crash in Kathmandu, Nepal, died at Norvic International Hospital there, a day after the incident.
US-Bangla Airlines flight BS211, which flew from Dhaka to Kathmandu carrying 67 passengers and four crew members, crashed at Nepal’s Tribhuvan International Airport on March 12, leaving 49 people, including 26 Bangladeshis, dead.
