West Indies win 1st T20I by 8 wickets

MNA Sports Desk: West Indies won the first T20 International of the three-match series over Bangladesh by 8 wickets with 55 balls remaining, at Sylhet International Stadium on Monday.

In response to the 130-run target set by the hosts Bangladesh, the Caribbean reached the destination by loosing two wickets in 10.5 overs.

Shai Hope scored the highest 55 runs 23 balls while E Lewis (18 off 11), N Pooran (23 off 17), KMA Paul (28 off 14).

Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat. They scored 129 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.

Bangladesh batsmen Shakib Al Hasan  (61 off 43) Ariful Haque (17 off 18) and Mahmudullah (12 off 19) managed to set the poor target for the visitors.
