Baki wins silver in Commonwealth Games

MNA Sports Desk: Bangladeshi shooter Abdullah Hel Baki has won silver in the men’s 10m Air Rifle event at the Commonwealth Games-2018 in Gold Coast of Australia.

Baki scored 244.7 at the Belmont Shooting Centre in Australia on Sunday. The shooter got the medal as the first Bangladeshi of this season of the Games.

Baki had placed sixth in the qualifying round to earn a spot in the final, reported news agency.

Australian shooter Dane Sampson finished with the gold medal with a score of 245.0 while Ravi Kumar of India shot 224.1 to go on to win bronze.

Sampson’s win takes Australia’s Gold Medal tally to 23, while Baki’s silver is the first medal for Bangladesh at the games.
