MNA National Desk: Members of Rapid Action Battalion recovered the body of a public prosecutor or PP in Tajhat Mollapara area of Rangpur city early Wednesday, five days after he went missing.
The deceased is Rathish Chandra Bhoumik, also the treasurer of district Awami League (AL). RAB members recovered the body around 2:30am, in a drive that started at 8:30pm on Tuesday.
Public prosecutor Rathis Chandra Bhowmik, 55, who represented the state in a case over the killings of Japanese national Hoshi Kunio and Rahmat Ali, khadem (caretaker) of a shrine, went missing since Friday morning.
The law enforcers arrested Dipa Bhowmik, Rathish’s schoolteacher wife, and two of her colleagues.
