Shab-e-Barat on May 1

MNA Life Style Desk: The holy Shab-e-Barat, the night of fortune, will be observed throughout the country on the night of May 1 (Tuesday) as the Shaban moon was sighted in the country tonight.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee held at the Islamic Foundation conference room of Baitul Mukarram here this evening with Director General of Islamic Foundation and member secretary of the moon sighting committee Shamim Mohammad Afzal in the chair, reported news agency.

As the moon of the holy Shaban month was sighted on the sky on Tuesday night so the counting of the holy Shaban month will begin tomorrow (April 18), said a press release of Islamic Foundation.
