MNA National Desk: The man who raped a Dhaka University (DU) student in Kurmitola is a serial rapist and a mugger, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) said. “Majnu (the arrestee) choked the victim (DU student) and dragged her to a nearby bush. MNA National Desk: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) sealed off Fu Wang Club early Thursday after a large amount of illegal liquor was seized from it. The elite force also arrested three people in this connection. The arrestees are Jahid, Xavier Jerry D’Costa and Chanchal. Director (Legal and Media) of the RAB Headquarters Lt Col Sarwar-Bin-Kashem said around 2,000 bottles of foreign wine, 10,000 cans of beer and Tk 700,000 were seized from the club. Nearly 3.0 per cent of the liquor was stored illegally and the club could not show relevant papers for the extra alcohol, he said.

MNA National Desk: The Rapid Action Battalion or RAB has arrested Jubo League leader Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan for running an illegal casino inside a club in Dhaka. The elite police unit apprehended Khaled at his residence in the capital’s Gulshan on Wednesday evening, said RAB’s Media Wing Director Sarwar Bin Kashem . RAB personnel carried out simultaneous raids on his home and Fakirapool’s Young Men’s Club in the afternoon. They also detained 142 people, including two women, from the club.
