Traffic control system to be digitized in Dhaka: PM

MNA National Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the government wants to control traffic signal digitally to ease traffic jam in the capital. “We want to control traffic in Dhaka city electronically and digitally… some parts of the capital have already been brought under such a system and if the system is introduced in rest of the parts, the sufferings of the people will be reduced to a great extent,” she said. Shahbagh stood still with traffic

The morning started with huge sufferings for the people as Shahbagh stood still with stuck traffic. Traffics stuck at the Shahbagh point due to protesting of the murder of Tonu by the students of leftist organizations. As a result the traffics of this busy cross-section were blocked totally creating severe problems for the general public.
