MNA Sports Desk: In the first innings tigers bowled out Australia for 217 to get 43 runs lead over Australia on day two of the opening test at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in Dhaka on Monday.
All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan picked up five wickets while Mehedi Miraz took 3 and Taijul Islam took one wicket.
Pat Cummins and Ashton Agar fought against the tide to produce Australia’s longest partnership of the innings, after Bangladesh threatened to take a hefty first-innings lead.
At tea, Australia were 193 for 8, with Cummins on 25 and Agar on 22, and they had chipped Australia’s deficit away to 67 runs.
