MNA National Desk: Police arrested three members of militant outfit neo-JMB, including one of its founder Abdus Samad alias Arif Mamu, in Mohakhali area of Dhaka on Wednesday night.
Tipped-off, a team of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted a drive here and detained the trio along with firearms and ammunitions.
The law enforcer recovered a pistol, five ammunitions and 200 detonators from their possessions, said Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media) of DMP.
Police said that the neo-JMB activists are responsible for the 2016 Gulshan attack. The details of the arrestees will be disclosed later at a press briefing at DMP media centre.
