BCB announced test squad with four new faces

MNA Sports Desk: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday selected first test squad including four new faces against England.

The first test will be played in Chittagong on 20-24 October. The test squad will be led by Mushfiqur Rahim with Tamim Iqbal acting as his deputy.

Sabbir Rahman, a regular face in the ODI and T20 squads, is in line to make his Test introduction, as all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz and wicketkeeper-batsman Nurul Hasan made the cut.

This year Miraz led the under-19 team in the Youth World Cup earlier. He now is on the edge of earning his first Test cap in Chittagong.

Full squad: Mushfiqur Rahim (captain), Tamim Iqbal (vice-captain), Imrul Kayes, Mominul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Soumya Sarkar, Taijul Islam, Mehedi Hasan, Sabbir Rahman, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Nurul Hasan, Shafiul Islam and Shuvagata Hom.
