Hamid to take oath Tuesday for 2nd term

MNA National Desk: President M Abdul Hamid will be sworn in as the head of the state for a second consecutive term on Tuesday as the parliament unanimously decided to entrust him with the presidency for another tenure.

“The oath-taking ceremony will take place at 7:30 pm on Tuesday . . . Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will administer his oath of office at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban,” President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told news agency.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Chief Justice, former Presidents of the country, Judges, cabinet members, lawmakers, senior politicians, diplomats and other dignitaries are expected to be present there.
