Only jainamaz, umbrella allowed at Eidgah

MNA National Desk: Only jainamaz (prayer mat) and umbrella will be allowed at the National Eidgah during Eid congregation to ensure the security on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia told this to the reporters while visiting the National Eidgah to check security measures on Thursday morning.

“There will be several check posts in the entrance of Eidgah to check musullis. No one will be allowed to carrying bag, sharp weapon and cell phone at the Eidgah,” he added.

The DMP boss said combined tight security measures have been taken to ensure the security of the whole city ahead of Eid. A large number of plainclothes police will be deployed apart from the law enforcers around the Dhaka city.
