MNA National Desk: About 70 fishermen along with six fishing trawlers of Banshkhali upazila of Chittagong and Kutubdia upazila of Cox’s Bazar district went missing in the Bay of Bengal on Tuesday during the severe cyclonic storm ‘Mora’. The owners of the fishing boats could not communicate yet with the fishermen, reported news agency. Cyclone Mora: Starts crossing coastal region

MNA National Desk: The powerful cyclonic storm Mora has started crossing Cox’s Bazar and Chittagong region at 6:00am today (Tuesday), said Met Office. Maximum sustained wind speed within 64 kms of the centre of the cyclone is about 89 kph, rising to 117 kph. MNA Editorial Desk: At least 23 people were killed and 13 others were missing after Cyclone Roanu made landfall yesterday afternoon on Chittagong-Noakhali coast. The cyclone damaged tens of thousands of mud-and-tin houses in the impoverished southern districts, with many low-lying villages inundated by a storm surge that swelled up to seven feet high.
