December 29 marks the birth anniversary of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, founder of the Dacca Art College (at present the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka). MNA Culture & Entertainment Desk: A three-day ‘Zainul Utsab’ began on Friday on the premises of the Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) of Dhaka University, marking the 103rd birth anniversary of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin. The programme began with placing wreaths on the mausoleum of the renowned painter Zainul Abedin early in the morning. Cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor inaugurated the three-day festival. Vice-chancellor of Dhaka University Akhtaruzzaman presided over the function.
