MNA Business Desk: The government has taken a project for modernization and expansion of three Jute mills under the Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) at a cost of Tk 1.74 billion to retain the lost glory of the golden fiber. After implementation of the project, the three mills — UMC Jute Mills in Narsingdi, Jashore Jute Industry Ltd in Noapara of Jashore and Gulfra Habib Ltd in Sitakunda of Chattogram — will create new job opportunities, reported news agency.
