MNA Business Disk: The government of Bangladesh will distribute rice and lentil among 5 million at Tk 10 per kg to ultra poor rural families across the country under the “Food-friendly Programme”. Each family will be given 30 kg rice per month for five months-March, April and September-November-every year. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the programme at Chilmari of Kurigram district this month. The government will need 7.50 tonnes of rice per year for the programme.
