MNA National Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given new directives on road safety, although most of her earlier orders fell on deaf ears of the authorities concerned. MNA National Desk: Road Transport Act, the new transport law, was passed by the Parliament with five-year jail term and Tk 500,000 fines for casualties in crashes caused by reckless driving. The maximum punishment will be death penalty under the new law if murder charge is proved in fatal road crash. MNA National Desk: Bangladesh Bank Deputy Director Golam Hossain killed in a road crash at Tikatuli in Dhaka on Tuesday morning. The deceased was 45. The Wari police Sub-inspector (SI) Moyazzem Hossain said the accident took place at Tikatuli crossing under Wari police station at about 7:30am.
